Fort Worth T & P FCU now known as Texas People Federal Credit Union is a not - for - profit financial cooperative owned by and operated for our members.

FWTPFCU was chartered in July 1946 to serve the employees of the Texas & Pacific Railroad. Since then, FWTPFCU has been chosen as the credit union for Missouri Pacific Railroad through a merger in the 1960's, and a second merger with Union Pacific Railroad in 1982. A decision was made to maintain the original name of Fort Worth T & P Federal Credit Union.

In late 2003 the Board of Directors voted to change the nameof Fort Worth T & P FCU  to Texas People Federal Credit Union. Today Texas People Federal Credit Union is the credit union for various other sponsor groups.
